About Our Cashmere

  • Where does Mysto’s cashmere come from?

    We use 100% Mongolian cashmere, sourced from inner Mongolia regions known for producing some of the world’s finest cashmere fibres.

  • Why Mongolian cashmere?

    Mongolia’s climate helps produce exceptionally soft, resilient fibres with natural warmth and breathability. It is widely regarded as one of the finest sources of cashmere in the world.

  • Is all cashmere the same?

    Cashmere varies by fibre diameter, yarn quality, spinning, and finishing. Finer fibres generally feel softer against the skin, while fuller yarns can provide more structure and warmth.

  • Why is cashmere more expensive than wool or cotton?

    Cashmere is rare, labour-intensive to collect, and prized for its softness, warmth-to-weight ratio, and longevity when properly cared for.

  • Is cashmere warm?

    Yes. Cashmere offers exceptional insulation while remaining lightweight and breathable, making it comfortable across multiple seasons.

  • Does cashmere pill?

    Some pilling is natural during early wear, especially in areas of friction. This is common with premium natural fibres and can be gently removed with a cashmere comb or fabric shaver.

  • How should I choose my size?

    Each product page includes specific fit notes and measurements. If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing based on your preferred silhouette: size down for a closer fit, size up for a more relaxed fit.

  • Are Mysto garments unisex?

    Many Mysto pieces are designed with versatile silhouettes that can be worn across wardrobes. Please refer to measurements for best fit.

  • Are your garments lightweight or heavy?

    We offer multiple yarn weights and knit constructions, from lightweight close-to-skin layers to fuller outerwear pieces.

Care Instructions

  • How do I care for cashmere?

    We recommend hand washing in cold water with a gentle wool detergent, reshaping while damp, and laying flat to dry.

  • Can I machine wash cashmere?

    Hand washing is preferred. If machine washing, use a delicate wool cycle in a garment bag at your own discretion.

  • How should I store cashmere?

    Fold rather than hang. Store clean garments flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

    We currently ship within Canada and the United States, with select international destinations available at checkout.

  • How long does shipping take?

    Canada: 2–7 business days

    United States: 5–10 business days

    International: 7–14 business days

    Complimentary shipping is offered on all qualifying orders.

    Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for unworn, unwashed items in original condition with tags attached.
